This course will teach students the process of health care funding in Canada; how to understand the financial statements of healthcare entities, how to manage a healthcare cost centre budget and how to apply performance measurement techniques in the healthcare setting. This course provides an overview of the current federal and provincial policy impacting the operation and service delivery of health care in British Columbia and Ontario. Students will become familiar with the internal and external factors impacting policy decision making and implementation.
