Business Fundamentals Diploma

Canadian College has partnered with Durham College in Oshawa to deliver the first year of general business courses that can lead to six different diploma options: 2 or 3-year Accounting, Human Resources, Operations Management or Marketing diploma; 3-year Advanced Business diploma; and a University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) transfer diploma (bridging required).

After successfully completing three semesters of business study at Canadian College, students will graduate with a diploma in Business Fundamentals. Furthermore, transfer credit will be granted for each course in which the student receives a "B" grade or higher.

CC 100 – Business Math

This is a fundamental course in Business Mathematics. Topics covered include: Mathematics of Merchandising, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Annuities, Loan Amortization, and Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis. This course is designed to encourage students to develop mathematical skills and abilities by applying them to common business situations. Regardless of his or her prior math experiences, this course will enhance the learner's ability to use mathematics to solve problems and make sound decisions from both a career and personal perspective.

CC 101 – Contabilitate simpla

Acest curs acopera intregul ciclu de contabilitate pentru indivizii cu pregatire putina sau deloc. Cursul este destinat sa le aduca studentilor a vasta intelegere a intregului proces de contabilitate, de la tranzactii business inregistrate pana la pregatire pentru declaratii financiare de baza.

CC 102 - Accounting 2

This course is a continuation of Accounting 1 and offers further insight into the field of accounting and how it serves the needs of the business community. We take an in-depth look at some specific items on the balance sheet, accounts receivable, inventory, capital assets, and current liabilities as well as the use of special journals, subsidiary ledgers, and end with an introduction to corporations. Applications of the principles learned will be applied to the preparation of financial statements, and in-depth problems, which emphasize the importance of accounting in decision making.

CC 105 – Intreprindere Business

Acest curs combina un studiu practic al subiectelor selectate a legii canadiene pentru afaceri (stuctura afacerii, legea contractului sau legea angajarii) cu un process planificat al afacerii (determinarea modelelor de afaceri, scrierea planului de afacere si bugeturi pro-forme). Participarea la acest curs, predate de avocati si profesionisti in afaceri, pregateste studentii sa inteleaga cum sa infiinteze corect o intreprindere business mica.

CC 106 – Business Simulation

In this course, students will participate in a computer-based business simulation, designed to help them begin applying some of the foundational business principles introduced in other courses. Working in teams, students will manage a simulated business and make decisions related to all functional areas of business – marketing, operations, human resource management, and accounting. Teams will compete against other “businesses” managed by their peers. Success in the simulation will depend upon each team’s ability to work together, analyze the competitive environment and make decisions that will allow their “business” to outperform the rest.

CC 120 – Microeconomia Afacerilor

Investigheaza analiza economica, concentrandu-se pe punctele fundamentale ale pietei, cerere si oferta, comportamentul consumatorului si producatorului, monopol si competitie. Aplicarea la ariile optionale ale afacerilor poate explora piata muncii, interventia guvernului si regulamentul mediului. Pregateste studentii sa indentifice si sa evalueze consideratiile economice pe care le vor intalni negresit in afaceri.

CC 130 – OB: Dinamica echipei

Prezinta studiul factorilor care fie influenteaza fie sunt influentati de oameni la munca. Cursul va focaliza factori micro sau individuali cum ar fi personalitate, atitudine, perceptie, motivatie si dimensiunile responsabilitatii etice si sociale ale managementului.

CC 131 – OB: Leadership si Managementul schimbarii

Prezinta studiul factorilor care fie influenteaza fie sunt influentati de oameni la munca. Cursul se va concentra asupra a patru perspective ale organizatiilor si managementului (integrativ, functional, cultural si comportamental) incluzand macro factori cum ar fi structura organizationala, tehnologia si mediul, precum si grup de factori ca dinamica grupului, leadership, conflict, schimbare si luarea deciziilor.

CC139 – Secolul 21 al Comunicarii

Dezvoltarea in tehnologie da o noua forma comunicarii interpersonale, de asemenea si comunicarii in masa, modului cum facem publicitate, organizam si ce strategie adoptam in cadrul afacerilor. Cunoasterea ca de la studentii se asteapta tot mai mult sa demonstreze se transforma. Abilitatile secolului 21 includ : tehnologia instructiei informatiei si a comunicarii (ITC), abilitatea de a gandi si de a rezolva probleme, abilitati interpersonale si auto directionale, constienta globala si financiara, economica, a afacerilor si instructia civica. Acest curs va fi livrat on-line prin intermediul unui parteneriat unic cu Universitatea Apple`s iTunes. La cerere, vor fi disponibile pentru studenti cursuri video in fiecare saptamana pentru a le viziona impreuna cu mici transferuri saptamanale si patru mari transferuri de-a lungul cursului.

CC 140 - Comunicarea Business

Acest curs le furnizeaza studentilor cunoasterea si intelegerea teoriei si principiilor comunicarii actuale, intelegerea a modului cum functioneaza comunicarea la locul de munca si o constientizare a modului cum comunicarea este influentata tehnologia nou aparuta.

CC 141 – Principii de Marketing

Acest curs furnizeaza studentului o privire de ansamblu a conceptului de piata si cum poate fi aplicata oricarui tip de organizatie sau serviciu. Studentii invata de asemenea cum conceptele cheie de marketing, principiile, si teoriile pot sa ajute cumparatorii sa ia decizii reale. In mod specific cunoasterea si intelegerea necesitate pentru a evalua produsul, pretul, optiunile de promovare si distribuire si sa faca recomandarile imbinarilor de marketing pentru targeturi de piata specifice.

CC 142 – Marketing 2

This course focuses on the marketing mix, a collection of variables that marketers control and manipulate in changing market conditions. Once marketing objectives have been developed, companies must decide on specific pricing, products/services, distribution and marketing communication strategies. Students study each of these four marketing mix variables in depth and in the context of a marketing plan.

CC 150 – Conceptul de calculator

Acest curs le introduce studentilor tehnologia informatiei, calculatoare, si retele de calculatoare precum si folosirea lor la locul de munca. Cursul furnizeaza o cunoastere practica a tehnologiei informatiei si cum se relationeaza cu un mediu business pentru a produce abilitati de a intensifica productivitatea lor personala si rezolvarea de probleme folosind unelte business potrivite.

CC 151 – Business Computers 2

This course will introduce and further develop Microsoft Excel skills that the student will need use in subsequent semesters and in the business world. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to prepare tables and graphs, use input fields, understand and be able to use Microsoft Excel insert functions and specialized functions. These functions include goal seeking, solver and data analysis.

CC 230 - Human Resource Management 1

Designed for persons interested in management and/or supervision. It develops an understanding of significant human resource management processes and systems utilized in today's business and government organizations. Employment-related legislation and current human resource management issues are surveyed. Topics cover human resource management processes with some emphasis on practical application of the techniques studied.

CC 231 - Human Resource Management 2

This advanced course gives students an appreciation of the technical aspects of human resources. Topics include performance appraisal, compensation management, financial incentives, employee benefits and services, employee relations practices, the union/management framework, and health and safety. Students who successfully complete this course and HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT I (HRM 1200) with an average B standing receive a full credit toward the Human Resources Administration course from the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario.

CC 280b – Portofoliu PLA

Acest curs final este conceput sa pregateasca studentii atat pentru plasamentul lor academic cat si pentru viitoarea lor cariera. Studentii vor integra diversele lor abilitati si priceperi din program pentru a-si dezvolta scopuri pentru cariera. Ei vor lucra de asemenea cu directori ai programului pentru a-si completa portofoliul de evaluare a invatarii anterioare avand scopul de a transfera creditele pentru viitoarele studii academice sau atestarea abilitatilor.
