Information Technology (IT) Program
Program Objectives

Employers are seeking individuals who possess technical knowledge, practical, communication, and strong leadership skills. The best candidates for positions are those that have the ability to anticipate the needs of customers, and to deliver exceptional customer service. For this reason the Canadian College IT Diploma program has been designed with hands-on technical training from Cisco, Comptia, Red hat and Microsoft integrated with practical business courses and relevant co-op opportunities to ensure students graduate with the skills and abilities employers are looking for.

Co-op Training
The IT Co-op is an integral component of this program as it provides students with essential real-world technical experience in an English speaking environment. As students return to their home country, the combination of a Western diploma and co-op is not only a competitive advantage, but allows students the opportunity to understand and experience the cultural and business nuances that can only be gained from a prolonged hands-on experience. The 48 week co-op is equal to the 48-weeks of academic classes students attend.
Admission Requirements
  • High School Diploma, High School Completion Certificate, or equivalent.
  • iBT 70, or IELTS 5.5 or 78 on the Canadian College exam.

Note: Students who do not meet any of the above requirements may be offered conditional acceptance subject to availability, and/or asked to take an the English Proficiency Test at Canadian College. Part time ESL training at CCEL may be required depending upon test result.
